Orchestra Series

Berliner Philharmoniker    Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra

Experience awe-inspiring symphonic sounds from some of the world’s leading orchestras. Hear the Berliner Philharmoniker under the baton of conductor Kirill Petrenko, with violinist Hilary Hahn (Nov. 15) and the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra conducted by 28-year-old Finnish phenomenon Klaus Mäkelä, with violinist Lisa Batiashvili (Nov. 24). Hayes Piano Series

Tony Siqi Yun    Clayton Stephenson    Janice Carissa

Three early-career pianists comprise this year’s Hayes Piano Series. Canadian-born Tony Siqi Yun is 2019 Gold Medalist at the First China International Music Competition (October 27). Clayton Stephenson, a finalist of the 2022 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, is known for his joyous charisma (March 15). Janice Carissa made her debut with The Philadelphia Orchestra at age 16 and has since performed alongside some of the top musicians of today (May 18). Subscriptions: $100-$168

Recitalist Series

Nikolai Lugansky    Karen Slack    Yefim Bronfman

Hear industry icons and artists-on-the-rise in the intimate John F. Kennedy Center Terrace Theater. Pianist Nikolai Lugansky offers a program of Mendelssohn, Beethoven, and Wagner (February 9). Experience the third-annual Ruther Bader Ginsburg Memorial Recital (March 9) with soprano Karen Slack’s African Queens— an evening-length vocal recital of art songs celebrates the history and legacy of seven historic or “real-life” African queens. Yefim Bronfman returns with a program of Mozart, Debussy, and Tchaikovsky (April 14). Subscriptions: $96-$184

Young Patrons Subscriptions

Washington Performing Arts offers a Young Patron Subscription for those age 40 and younger. Purchase tickets to three (3) Washington Performing Arts performances from a curated list for only $99 and we will seat you with other young arts fans. Eligible performances will be announced in July 2024. Subscriptions: $99

*Tickets to other performances can be added at full price.

The Benefits of Being a Washington Performing Arts Subscriber

Instead of buying and seeing just one concert, subscribers reserve seats for multiple events. Free ticket exchanges, reduced handling fees, advance access to special events, guest pass tickets, and more. Subscribers receive deeper savings, access to seats before the general public, and better access to all Washington Performing Arts offers. Subscribers enjoy benefits not available to single-ticket holders, and the more shows you see, the lower the tickets cost.

  • Secure the same seats for every performance in your series.
  • If your plans change, exchange your tickets for free into other current season performances.
  • $10 handling fees per order, whereas single tickets incur a handling fee of 15% of the order total.

** Orchestra Series, Hayes Piano Series, and Recitalist Series subscriptions become available in July 2024.

Build Your Own Subscription

Custom Subscriptions are available during donor pre-sale. To reserve online, applicable donors may build a package by adding three or more events to their cart. These options are currently available only to Chairman Circle supporters.

Custom 3 Performance Series

  • Save up to 10%* off single-ticket prices when you choose three (3) paid events.
  • Secure seats before tickets are available to the general public.
  • If your plans change, exchange your tickets for free into other current season performances.
  • $10 handling fees per order, whereas single tickets incur a handling fee of 15% of the order total.
  • Discount will apply automatically when the minimum number of eligible events are in your cart.

Custom 5 Performance Series

  • Save up to 15%* off single-ticket prices when you choose five (5) or more paid events.
  • Secure seats before tickets are available to the general public.
  • If your plans change, exchange your tickets for free into other current season performances.
  • $10 handling fees per order, whereas single tickets incur a handling fee of 15% of the order total.
  • Discount will apply automatically when the minimum number of eligible events are in your cart.

* Some seating sections or performances are excluded from discounts. Reservations for free events do not count toward the minimum number of events for Custom 3 or Custom 5 subscriptions.

Become a Friend!

Our annual donor’s group, the Friends of Washington Arts, provides invaluable support for our artistic and education programming throughout the year. As a thank-you, we offer Friends these exceptional subscription benefits:

  • Higher seating priority: During our subscription-only period Friends subscription orders are reserved (by donor level) ahead of orders from the general public.
  • Waived order fees: Friends subscribe without a handling fee—a $10 savings. Throughout the season, Friends also enjoy waived fees for additional single-ticket orders—a savings of 15% on the ticket order.
