Atlas Performing Arts Center
The Atlas Performing Arts Center is a non-profit performing arts venue located on H Street NE in Washington, D.C. Housed in a uniquely restored 1930s Art Deco movie house, the center is a hub for diverse artists and audiences to explore a wide range of art forms, such as film, dance, music, theater, vocal and choral work, spoken word, and more. The facility is home to several local arts organizations including Capital City Symphony, Mosaic Theater Company of DC, Visionaries of the Creative Arts (VOCA), Joy of Motion Dance Center, and Black Leaves Dance Company.

All performance spaces and restrooms are equipped with accessible entrances and seating. Braille directional signage is present throughout the center. Assistive listening devices for all four theaters are available on a first-come basis. Please visit Atlas’s house management staff upon arrival to request a listening device.
Atlas Performing Arts Center is a 20-25 walk from the Union Station Metro Stop on the Red Line. Head east on Massachusetts Avenue, go around Stanton Park, then continue east on Maryland Avenue NE. Turn left on 13th Street NE. Turn right on H Street NE and the Atlas will be on your right.
The free DC Streetcar departs from the Hopscotch Bridge every 15 minutes. To get there from Union Station, use the elevators or escalators to go up one level from the Amtrak waiting area and go north through the Union Station parking structure toward H Street. Disembark the Streetcar at 13th and H and walk to the Atlas. Check for real-time updates at DC Streetcar and Select “Eastbound-towards Oklahoma Ave” and your current location.
There is extremely limited street parking in the neighborhood surrounding Atlas Performing Arts Center.
Avec H Street Parking Garage (allow 25 minutes) Park at the pay-for-service H Street Parking Garage and take the free DC Streetcar to the Atlas from 8th & H Street NE to 901 H St NE. Information on this parking garage’s hours and rates is found at Colonial Parking.
Union Station Parking Lot (allow 25 minutes) Park at the pay-for-service Union Station parking lot and take the free DC Streetcar to the Atlas. Use H Street entrance at Hopscotch Bridge. See more parking information for Union Station.
WMATA’s X2 Bus runs along H Street from Lafayette Square (16th Street) to Minnesota Avenue and connects with Metrorail at Gallery Place/Chinatown Station.
The X8 Bus runs along Maryland Avenue from Union Station. Exit at 13th Street; Walk two blocks to H Street.
The X9 Bus runs Monday through Friday Express Bus serving H Street. Connects at Metro Center and Gallery Place following the same route as the X2, but service ends at 6:30 p.m.
